Cabin monitoring

AISIN Mobility is a tier 1 specialist in cabin monitoring.  Despite the close proximity, occupants are disconnected and detached from their vehicles.  V2Cabin can transform the interior into multiple personalized spaces by connecting vehicles with their occupants.

V2Cabin: My car understands us

Automakers are increasingly mandated to adopt image-processing technology to understand what is happening in their vehicle interiors.  For example, to detect dangerous situations where young children are left in vehicles or where forgotten objects are left on show.  But many automakers are capitalizing on the cameras that they install to offer extended, personalized experiences to their customers for improved comfort, entertainment and security.

Occupant ID & contextual personalisation

The journey starts with cccupant ID.  As the car knows who is occupying the vehicle, personal settings and preferences can be adjusted accordingly, from the vehicle settings to infotainment preferences and connected services.  Our algorithms can even interpret the mood or state of mind of each vehicle occupant, enabling automakers to provide an experience that is highly personalized, but also accounts for the context of the current situation.

Compliance for child presence detection

At AISIN, we liaise with bodies responsible for legislation, as well as Euro NCAP safety ratings.  As compliance with these requirements become more stringent, we can advise and accompany automakers through their technology choices and roadmaps.

Object detection

Our image-processing algorithms are trained to detect a number of objects that may be left unwittingly in the vehicle, causing a security risk as well as inconvenience.  Nudges can be sent to remind occupants when objects have been forgotten.

System design: fit for use

At AISIN Mobility, we work on all aspects of the driver monitoring and cabin monitoring value chain to encompass a holistic system design approach.  Our local experts benefit from our group’s international experience, taking into account integration and cost challenges linked to the choice of hardware and software.  Our mission is to accompany automakers through their technology choices to ensure driver monitoring and cabin monitoring systems that are fit for use, using off-the-shelf solutions and existing hardware where desired, in line with each automaker’s strategy.

Why trust us?

Aisin’s driver monitoring technology has been on the roads since 2006, so is fully proven and optimised.  We are now on the third generation.  Aisin Mobility has an exciting roadmap of V2Driver and V2Cabin features.
